Credo is looking for a part-time Executive Administrative Assistant.

We’re looking for someone to help the team be more productive and who is interested in working together for a very long time. If asked, you’d say that you love helping others succeed.

We strongly believe in helping entrepreneurs and fighting for the underdog. The best candidate for this role isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, listens to needs and asks clarifying questions before diving in, and performs at their best when the way forward is unclear. The job duties will vary so it’s important you like doing new things and can take on and juggle a variety of different projects. The key focus of this role is helping to keep the business and team organized and productive.

This will start as an average of 10-15 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience as an assistant to a busy, constantly traveling, high performing, and demanding executive and team.
  • Is incredibly proactive. They look for things that need to be done and they do them. They don’t wait around until they are told to do something.
  • Is organized. I sometimes mess up dates and locations. I need someone who is deeply, obsessively organized and makes sure I get to where I need to be!
  • Is flexible. You need to be comfortable when plans change when things go wrong. I need someone with a cool head and a can-do attitude.
  • Has a keen eye for detail. Your writing is clear of typos. You were probably an English major or have considered becoming a book editor in the past.
  • Knows how to prioritize and aims to be two steps ahead. You’re the person who almost always has a Plan B in the back of your mind, but more importantly you have a “can do” attitude about life.
  • Is dependable. I’m talking about VERY dependable as we are looking for someone to handle details that keep the business going. Bonus points if you were that person in grade school that got the award for perfect attendance in every grade.
  • Is positive. You have to be positive. I want to hear solutions to problems and what you’re doing to make each day a kick ass day. You should be everyone’s favorite person to work with.
  • Has a super-clean record. I’ll do a detailed background check on you. If you’ve been in trouble in the past, don’t apply.
  • Is focused. I’d prefer for this to be your only job, which makes this position ideal for a work from home parent.
  • Is an excellent communicator: both written and verbal.
  • Is a very fast learner. I’ll expose you to many, many new opportunities. If you can’t pick up new concepts fast, you’ll be lost and I’ll be frustrated.
  • Has discretion and can maintain confidentiality.
  • Considers themselves a perfectionist. There’s nothing wrong with getting things right.

You will also ideally:

  • Have a dependable car (if in Denver);
  • Be located within 30 minutes of downtown Denver, but remote (US timezones only) is considered.
  • Be tech savvy and understand the Mac environment (nothing advanced but you must know things like Microsoft Office, Google Docs, scheduling, email, ordering things online, etc.)
  • Enjoys working alone most of the time and with people some of the time. The work you’ll be doing is typically alone. If you’re the type of person who likes to interact with people and friends a lot this probably isn’t right for you. I’m often on sales or client calls in the mornings and deep into work or at a coffee shop in the afternoons.

The job duties include:

  • Business logistics including ordering various things, coordinating events and contractors, etc (if remote, shipping them to me as needed).
  • Invoice management and other various administrative/operational details of the business, working closely with our accountant and bookkeeper to make sure all of that is running smoothly;
  • Organizing our CEO’s email, scheduling appointments, booking travel plans, etc. This role requires someone who is incredibly organized.
  • Acting as client concierge and liaison for important client communication;
  • Organizing Credo’s fall conference and mastermind;
  • Preparing and shipping event materials as necessary;
  • Organizing some of our CEO’s personal life and responsibilities.
  • This is just the start. You must be willing to jump in, learn how to do something, and get it done well and quickly while maintaining a can-do positive attitude.

  • If you pass that first task, I will ask you to do a different (paid) second task while I call two or three of your references. This second task will show me different skills and experience you have than the first.
  • Assuming you pass that with flying colors (and let’s be honest, you will) and your references speak incredibly highly of you (and let’s be honest, they will), we will have a phone call to discuss the position and get to know each other via phone.

If you make it through all of these, I will invite you to a month trial (paid of course) for us to work alongside each other and ensure that it is the right fit for both of us.
