"When I was tasked with hiring someone to help with our marketing, I turned to Credo. They introduced us to two vetted pros who specialized in what we need. Credo saved us a lot of time and money by getting us the right pros the first time."
"We contacted Credo and after a 30 minute discussion where they asked deeper questions to clarify our needs and current setup (including other agencies we already work with), they introduced us to two agencies who ended up being a perfect fit for us."
"This was my first time using Credo and I will never hire another agency without them. I needed a PPC agency and I needed one FAST. Credo got me 3 discovery calls in a day with some seriously high quality companies. The hardest part was choosing between them. If you're going to hire an agency, use Credo. Seriously."
"All 3 candidates were awesome and I really appreciated the process. Using Credo blew my mind in terms of saving time, 3 super high quality candidates, and we got a lot out of hearing their various approaches."
Credo helps companies find and hire the right marketing partner.
A company can be polished and professional and still not deliver great results, so we specifically ask each network applicant about their clients and results they have driven.
We ask every applicant for:
Quality of work delivered is extremely important to us and extremely important to you.
Our professional vetting involves the following:
Every network applicant must also pass our culture screening to make sure they're aligned with our standards.
This involves a 30 minute call covering:

When you speak with the Ecommerce Digital Marketing Companies in our network, you can trust they're the best we can find.

"After working with a number of clients who had been burned by illicit consultants, industry veteran John Doherty was inspired to create [a company] that would help companies find reputable search marketing and SEO professionals."
"I don't know of anyone who puts as much care and attention into properly vetting and matching SEO projects with vendors than Credo."
Prioritize agencies who have experience with the channel or channels you need help with. If you have multiple needs, we recommend prioritizing a full service firm who can do all channels as opposed to hiring individual agencies or contractors for each channel. This will reduce the number of providers you have to contact as well as the management overhead once they are hired.
Note - at Credo we match you with providers from our network who both fit your marketing channel needs and have experience with your type of business (SaaS, Ecommerce, etc). Where possible, we also match you with providers who have experience in your industry.
We recommend speaking with multiple agencies to verify that they have the experience you require and that you like speaking with them. Culture fit between you and your agency is the unspoken factor we find that determines if an engagement will be successful. We then recommend that you conduct longer strategy sessions (about an hour) with 2-4 agencies to dive deeper on your needs with their team.
Note - Credo schedules the initial discovery calls for you with agencies from our network.
Once you’ve gone deeper with 2-4 agencies, ask for proposals that you can review that include scope, timeline, cost, and terms. We recommend that you use our Agency Reviewer resource to make it easier. Some agencies may have a separate contract with terms and conditions, which is fine.
Once you receive proposals, you can negotiate back with agencies. The most common things to negotiate back on are scope and timeline. If ideal budget is above your ability to pay, see if you can reduce the scope to get the project within budget while understanding the tradeoffs.
Finally, make a decision about who to work with and commit for a period of time that is long enough to know if you’re able to get results but not so long that it traps you into something that isn’t working. We recommend that you agree to at minimum a 3 month contract, and ideally a 6 month contract with a three month out.
Make sure healthy expectations are set and your agency fully understands your objectives. The best results are created when you have alignment with your agency around your business goals.
Drive results for your marketing needs with the Credo network. Get started today (it's free and there is no obligation)!
The future of business is ecommerce. That’s why it’s vital for brands to understand the impact of ecommerce marketing. For this reason, we’re going to focus on the impact of five powerful ecommerce digital marketing trends.
While SEO doesn’t immediately lead to sales, this is a requisite for your long-term growth. SEO helps ecommerce businesses generate organic traffic and improve lead generation, resulting in more sales.
Naturally, the more traffic your ecommerce site generates, the more merchants are likely to gain. The more traffic you gain, the more customers are likely to become repeat customers.
SEO improves all aspects of the ecommerce experience. It is in your best interest to polish your SEO with Google giving favor to websites that engage people with real, relative content.
In fact, on average, businesses spent over $80 billion on SEO in 2021. SEO has become a necessity for businesses in 2023, and costs, on average, range from $1500-$5000+ per month.
It’s important that merchants develop an effective SEO strategy to optimize their website for a better user experience and to improve their search ranking overall. Google has changed tremendously over recent years and merchants should be aware of Google’s expectations if they expect to increase their sales.
Content marketing has easily become one of the most effective ways for ecommerce business owners to drive more traffic and increase sales. Content marketing focuses on creating high-quality content that, in turn, attracts and interests your target audience.
In 2023, content marketing is a staple marketing strategy for ecommerce business owners globally as 70% of brands report the return on investment is high. In fact, almost half of 18-49-year-old people get their news and information online and 61% of U.S consumers made a purchase after reading recommendations online.
Content marketing has afforded merchants the opportunity to tell stories, share experiences, and improve transparency. Additionally, content marketing has helped business owners do a more efficient job of adding value to their customers instead of solely focusing on quantity output.
For this reason, eCommerce business owners are more focused on leveraging content marketing to gain organic traffic and generate solid leads that translate into sales. In fact, 29% of B2B marketing budgets are spent on content marketing on average and 75% of marketers are increasing their investment in content marketing.
Email marketing is one of the most effective marketing tools for eCommerce business owners to leverage. The reason why email marketing is extremely beneficial is that it creates the perfect opportunity for merchants to genuinely bridge a connection with new customers and continue to nurture relationships with existing customers.
Strong customer relationships are vital to every business’s success. Customers are more easily retained when they can connect with the brand. Additionally, customers want to invest in businesses that have established a strong presence, and email marketing is one of the most effective ways to do this. Email can be used to highlight new products or services, share valuable information, promote a new sale or remind customers of a current sale that’s ending.
For businesses, the average return on investment is $44 for every dollar spent. According to a HubSpot case study, companies spend 16% of their marketing budget on email marketing. In fact, email is the third most influential source of information for B2B audiences.
Email marketing has advanced over the years to be more integrative. ECommerce businesses are now able to display fully-functional campaigns that can attract new customers and keep current customers engaged. This is why businesses are expected to spend more time in this area moving forward.
Big data refers to a large volume of data designed to help businesses reveal patterns, trends, and associations related to human behavior, and interactions. With so many consumers online, it can be difficult for businesses to effectively meet the needs of their customers. In fact, 90% of the world’s total data has been created since 2020.
Leveraging big data allows for better strategic decisions that help merchants tailor content and marketing efforts to meet the needs of customers.
When merchants can understand their customers better, they experience better results simply because they are able to assert more precise marketing. This leads to less money being spent on marketing, allowing funds to be allocated to other areas of the business.
In fact, according to Sageworks, data shows that small businesses spend about 1% of their revenue on marketing. This means that a company that makes 100,000 will spend roughly $1,000 on digital marketing.
Some businesses tend to spend more money on marketing, especially if their marketing strategy proves to be ineffective. However, big data truly lends itself to ecommerce businesses, helping merchants to navigate through the internet world and target customers successfully.
In fact, IDC says that worldwide revenues for big data and business analytics are expected to touch $260 billion in 2023, at a compound annual growth rate of 14.92 percent.
Mckinsey Analytics conducted a survey where 50% of respondents stated that Big Data has fundamentally changed business practices in their sales and marketing functions.
Youtube is the second largest search engine after Google. For this reason, eCommerce business owners have focused on creating video content to gain more traffic organically. Consumers already use video to get much of their information.
In 2023, online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer internet traffic— 15 times higher than in 2017. Video content works because videos are engaging and memorable. Even more striking? 87% of video marketers reported that video gives them a positive ROI.
Merchants can leverage video content to give a closer look at a product, explain a service, or give valuable information that helps to establish credibility.
Aside from this, video content helps boost your business on Google’s search rankings. This would explain why digital video marketing is a $135 billion industry in 2021 in the US alone.
Businesses are recognizing the power that video marketing holds which is also why 56% of businesses are producing videos every week.
Video content proves your value to Google because they take more than just text into account when determining your site’s relevancy. Additionally, because videos are highly engaging, video content helps merchants seamlessly drive organic traffic to their websites.
Video content has also become an effective platform for boosting your brand’s social presence and brand awareness, making it easier for you to gain more exposure online.
In 2023, the ecommerce industry is still on the rise. Every ecommerce business owner’s top business initiative is to organically bring more traffic to their site and improve sales.
With that said, many business owners have realized the opportunity for exponential growth online with effective eCommerce marketing. For this reason, eCommerce businesses will continue to hone their digital marketing efforts to produce better results.
