If you’ve been watching Credo over the years, then you know that we’ve been through a lot of changes. From a simple WordPress site to an exclusive network, I’ve learned a lot over the years since starting this company in my old Brooklyn apartment in early 2013.

Today Credo’s product takes a big step forward. We’ve heard from many with active projects in Credo over the last few months that it’s confusing having communication during the sales and delivery stages happening between both Credo and email. It adds friction, and friction is never good!

So today I am happy to announce that we have rolled out in-platform messaging on Credo so that you can communicate directly within the Credo Platform to do what you need to do.

In-platform Messaging

You’ll now find a new “Messages” option in the left nav (with a Beta label) and will be presented this view complete with a green notification when you have a new message:

Here’s how the conversation thread view looks:

Note: if you have an active project in any stage in Credo currently, you will not see any messages upon initial sign-in. To send a message, navigate to your project then click the “Send Message” button next to their name:

The best uses for messaging are during the getting-to-know-each-other process, and then after a signed project for logistics. Credo is not a full project management solution, so that is best left in those proper tools.

Customizable user profiles

Along with this release comes the ability for everyone to update their user profile, including your profile image and bio.

To access it, click Account Settings in the left nav (at the bottom), then Edit Profile. You’ll see a screen like this:

Thank you for being a part of the Credo journey thus far. 2019 has been quite the year, with rebuilding our technology and team, an office move, and a lot of work going on behind the scenes to make Credo the best place to get digital marketing work done by working with the best.

As always, if you have any questions please feel free to drop a comment below and if you’re actively on Credo then you can email [email protected] at any time.
