Today’s guest is one of my best friends and a mentor of mine. Tom Critchlow is a New York City based digital marketer with a wealth of experience under his belt – he helped build Distilled from the ground up and opened the New York City office (where I worked for him), did two years at Google as a Product Marketing Manager, and for the last two years has been a solo consultant based in Brooklyn working with some large brands as well as startups.

Tom’s focus mostly is on publishing, but he also loves working with startups to build teams, define their brand and market, and so much more. He has truly become a well-rounded digital marketer, and it shows in the quality of the work he puts out.

In this episode, we talk about his time at Google, what he’s learning about being a solo consultant, and where he’s taking his business next. Tom is two years into his solo journey and I think there are a lot of lessons we all can learn.
